HRM & Development Department

The main function of this Department is to oversee Personnel management affairs in the ministry. It is responsible for;

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing and reviewing human resource strategies, procedures and regulations;
  • Coordinating and managing human resources management functions in MPMT;
  • Analyzing and interpreting policies relating to human resource management and development;
  • Conducting recruitment, selection, deployment and placement of human resources;
  • Initiating and ensuring effective management of staff welfare schemes and programs;
  • Coordinating training needs assessments and approving training programmes
  • Managing employee personnel emoluments and payroll;
  • Coordinating development human resource plans in line with the labour policies ;
  • Coordinating occupational safety, health and work environment programmes;
  • Coordinating performance management in MPMT;
  • Coordinating development and review of training and recruitment policies;
  • Approving and coordinating staff separation programmes and plans
  • Coordinating training and development of staff.
